International Scientific Conference “The current state of media education in the context of global trends”, October 15, 2020. (deadline for papers is Aug, 1, 2020) Format of participation: online. The objective of the conference is to arrange an interdisciplinary discussion of relevant processes occurring in the modern media education in Russia and abroad. Lecturers, university and school teachers, PhD students, undergraduates, university students, researchers are invited to participate in the conference. Rostov State University of Economics, Anton Chekhov Taganrog Institute WORK OF CONFERENCE WILL BE DIVIDED INTO SECTIONS: 1. Educational environment and media education. 2. Historical and theoretical aspects of Russian and foreign media education. 3. School and university media education and education reforms. 4. Political science aspects of media culture and media education. 5. Culturological challenges of modern media space. 6. Media culture of contemporary youth. The organizers plan to publish an electronic collection of conference materials after the conference. In order to take part in the conference it is requested till August 1, 2020 to e-mail a completed registration card of the participant (Appendix 1) and the text of the article to the organizing committee: ichelysheva@mail.ru (please, indicate “For conference-2020” in the subject line of the letter). Participation in the conference and publication of conference materials for participants are free. CONFERENCE MATERIALS Submitted abstracts and articles should be designed after the following requirements: manuscript length limit is 5 A4-size pages. All submitted material must be in a Microsoft Word format. Page margins: all margins set to 2 cm. A manuscript must be typewritten with 1.0 line spacing using Times New Roman and 14 pt. font size. Pages are not numbered. The title of the article is printed in capital letters: 14 pt., bold font. Then below the name and surname of the author(s) should be indicated (lowercase, single space, bold italics, 14 pt.). Next line – affiliation, organization, city, country, e-mail. Then follows a brief abstract (no more than 300 characters). Keywords (5-10 words). Then follows the text of the article. The citation style: [Robert, 1993, р. 1762]. The reference list is compiled in alphabetical order and are sequentially numbered at the end of the article. E-mail Abstract: Keywords: Text References 1. … The number of authors in one article is no more than 3 people. Number of articles from 1 author / co-author - no more than 2. The following elements should be reflected in the structure of the manuscript: the problem, its scientific or practical aspects; analysis of recent findings and publications on the research problem; the objectives of the article; research findings and prospects for further development in this field. Articles should be original, never previously published or submitted. The organizing committee checks the articles in the anti-plagiarism system and sets the threshold for originality at 75%.
